Europe’s largest motorcycle #event attracted more than 120,000 visitors and 70,000 motorcycles to Austria’s alpine region of Carinthia from 6 to 11 September in an epic, season-closing party for Harley® riders, enthusiast and music fans.

The global fame of European Bike Week® - located around the beautiful Austrian lake of Faaker See - drew riders from across the world including UAE, Cuba and Indonesia while a group of 32 Harley owners made the trip from Vietnam to ride the alpine passes and take in the unique party atmosphere of the #event.

Guest of honour at the #event was #billdavidson, great grandson of one of the original founders of the company and Vice President of the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, USA. Davidson delighted the crowds by hosting the stage ceremonies, presenting the awards at the #custom Bike Show and leading the massive parade of 10,000 bikes around Ossiacher See which is the traditional culmination of the #event.

The heart of the #event was once again the tented Harley Village, including a Dealer Mile with 19 Harley dealers from five countries represented, 30 food outlets, 130 retailers and the main stage hosting a line-up of bands and 60 performances including Tito & Tarantula, Royal Republic, Zodiac, The Picturebooks and Boppin’ B. Additional entertainment was provided by a host of venues including Team 412, Hot Spot and many more catering to all musical tastes.

With Harley Village as a base, riders were able to explore the scenic Alpine landscape on their own motorcycles. Local knowledge of the most exciting roads was made available to riders through escorted rides by the members of the local Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Alpe Adria Chapter who organized a series of trips across the spectacular alpine passes.

A must-see for many of the visitors were the brand new Harley-Davidson 2017 models, with the new Touring bikes powered by the all new Milwaukee-Eight® engine drawing massive interest on display at the Expo and for free test rides at the huge Demo Ride Area.

In the Customiser Area visitors could draw inspiration for #custom individualisation of their own motorcycles and admire the #custom bikes on display from the best customizers from across the world. And for one lucky visitor - Ewald Harb from Carinthia - on the final evening, the European Bike Week bike raffle prize of a new Harley-Davidson Street 750 being presented by #billdavidson on the main stage.

The 2017 European Bike Week will take place from 5 to 10 September 2017 – once again at Faak am See, Austria. Visitors who were here in 2016 will surely return - and those who didn’t join the #event this year should save the date for 2017 and book their accommodation soon. See you there!
