Salone del mobile 2024 host&home
HOST&HOME is a project developed by Ministry of Commerce of Thailand since 2015, through the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), to support local entrepreneurs in the perspective of designing and creating different and unique lifestyle products.
The goal is to create modern design products that can be placed in contexts such as hotels, homes, or residences and that can make people used to frequent traveling always feel at home.
Ms. Anongnart Mahasawat, Director of Thai Trade Center Milan, says “HOST & HOME was created to showcase 12 companies and their values. An exhibition that aims to tell the roots of the Thai lifestyle through furniture and lifestyle products, offering new interpretations of the use of these products. Through different production techniques, the 12 brands will stage contemporary lifestyle while staying true to the teachings of tradition.”
In 2024 the project will be exhibited for the eighth year at the Salone del Mobile (Hall 7, stand C18).
The Stand
The interpretation of the use of colors and lines reflects the products displayed in the stand. The colorful palette reflects the colors of natural materials and surrounding objects, like ceramic bowls, hand-embroidered fabrics, nuances that reflect a fun-loving, friendly culture. A stand that wants to convey friendliness and respect for nature.
The goal is to allow visitors to gradually explore each brand and product, so that they can focus accurately on what they see. Even though each shape is studied in detail, it is inspired by traditional Thai architecture with a touch of contemporary style.
The brands of the 12 companies involved, which operate in sectors of outdoor products, ceramics, armchairs, fabrics, and others, are:
Agal, Amo Arte, Deesawat, Kenkoon, Masaya, Mobella, Moonler, Muller, Prempracha, Sculpture, T Thaniya, Touchable. Besides, the Department of International Trade Promotion is also involved.
