ABT Golf R and "DA Team bus" at Wörthersee

At the first GTI meeting 37 years ago, a VW bus would have been used as mobile accommodation at best. The VW T2 and T3 at the time were just too practical to be of interest to fans of sporty, individual vehicles. But in 1983, the US TV series "The A-Team" soon proved how cool a minivan can be. The leading role in the series, however, was "played" by a GMC Vandura, which appeared much more powerful and martial than the VW bus models at the time. The current VW T6, that Youtuber and race driver Daniel Abt turned into his brand new DA-Team bus with plenty of extras, is a different story. He will be using it to cruise to his social media appointments with his crew. Together with an ABT Golf R, the cool bus will now be presented for the first time in Reifnitz at Wörthersee from May 29 until June 1, 2019. The world's largest tuner for vehicles from Audi and #Volkswagen will be based in exhibition area 2 together with its partner H&R.
The T6 DA-Team bus is equipped with a complete ABT aero package. This includes anABT front skirt add-on, front grille add-on, side strips, rear wing and a rear skirt setfrom which an ABT rear muffler with black pipes protrudes. The 20-inch alloy wheels typeABT Sport GR, painted in a custom red color, provide an exciting counterpoint. The already strong 2.0 liter production diesel engine with 204 HP (150 kW) received a significant boost from ABT Sportsline. With the auxiliary ABT Engine Control unit, the T6 now offers an impressive 235 HP (173 kW). The maximum torque increased from 450 to 490 Nm.
